Esophageal carcinoma is a common tumor in the digestive system, but, of course, the morbidity and mortality of esophageal carcinoma are extremely different in various countries. China is one of the high-prevalence areas of esophageal carcinoma. Nevertheless, in the United States, it is not.

食管癌是一種常見的消化道腫瘤,當然了,食管癌的發病率和死亡率在各個國家都有著很

大的差異。中國是食管癌高發地區之一。然而,在美國,食管癌屬於少性疾病。


Different people have different living environments, different eating habits, different genetics etc. These are the reasons that they have different causes of esophageal carcinoma, including:

不同人有著不同的生活環境、飲食習慣、基因等。這也會是他們患有食管癌的不同原因,其 中包括:


1. Chemical causes:

Nitrosamine. This kind of compound has wide distributions in our bodies. It not only can appear inside your bodies, but also outside! In those high-prevalence areas, the content of nitrosamine is mostly higher than other areas.



2. Lack of Vitamin:

Lack of Vitamin A, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C and lack of intake of animal protein, fresh fruits and vegetables are the characteristics of high-prevalence areas of esophageal carcinoma.


3. Daily life habits:

This is one of the most significant issues that clients of esophageal carcinoma may experience in daily life. Clients may experience long-term of drinking, smoking, overhard food, or eating too fast (and many other cases). These actions may cause chronic irritation, inflammation, unclean oral hygiene, and in some severe cases, people may be diagnosed as esophageal carcinoma.

亞硝胺。這類化合物在身體中分佈很廣。不僅僅可以出現在你的身體裡面,還可以在

身體外行成。在高發區域中,這類化合物的含量都會高於低發地區。

2. 缺乏維生素:

缺乏維生素A、維生素B2、維生素C以及動物蛋白、新鮮蔬菜和水果的攝入不足都是

食管癌高發區的特點。

3. 日常生活習慣:

這是食管癌患者在日常生活中可能遇到的最重要的問題之一。患者可能會經歷長期

飲酒、吸菸、吃過硬的食物或飲食過快(也存在其他情況)。這些行為會引起慢性刺激、炎症

以及口腔不潔。在更嚴重的情況下,人們可能會被確診食道癌。


Some symptoms that may occur before or during diagnosed stage:

一些可能會在確診階段前或確診階段出現的症狀:

1. Early stage:

The symptoms may be superficial during the early stage. People may feel uncomfortable when they are swallowing. When they are eating, food will slowly pass by with pains in their throats.

2. Middle or late stage:

To be more simple and understandable, the typical symptom of esophageal carcinoma is progressive difficulty in swallowing. First, it is hard for people to swallow dry food, and then semi-liquid food, and finally water and saliva cannot be swallowed (this is the most severe case!).

早期階段的時候,食道癌的症狀不是很明顯。人們可能會覺得吞嚥困難。當他們在吃

Then...How can we prevent having (symptoms of) esophageal carcinoma??

那麼...我們應該怎麼去預防食道癌(的症狀)?

  • Forming good habits in daily life: slow down while eating, eat less overheated food...

  • Having a good diet: diverse eating options, eat MORE FRESH fruits and vegetables.

  • Decrease intake of pickled and smoked food.

  • NO SMOKING AND DRINKING TOO MUCH.

  • 形成良好習慣:細嚼慢嚥,不吃過熱食物等。

  • 有良好的飲食習慣:食物多樣性,多吃新鮮蔬果。

  • 少吃醃製或煙燻食物。

  • 不吸煙,不酗酒。
