Family Portrait 2

Hello everyone! My name is Clarice, I am a senior from Orange County, and I am honored to stand before you as the founder of Luminary Hope For Cancer. My journey towards establishing this organization was deeply personal and inspired by a profound relationship in my life—my piano teacher, who I have been fortunate enough to know for over seven years. She is more than just an educator; she has been like family to me.

When she was diagnosed with cancer, it shook me to my core. I vividly recall the period when she was suffering from severe stomach pain, not realizing the underlying issue that would ultimately change her life. Witnessing her struggle opened my eyes to the harsh realities that many cancer patients face, especially when it comes to understanding their symptoms and seeking timely medical help.

Because gastrointestinal malignancies sometimes go undiagnosed until it's too late, this experience made me want to spread awareness about cancer in general. This inspiration inspired me to start Luminary Hope For Cancer, which aims to inform our community about the warning signs and symptoms of various diseases and provide assistance to those affected. Through our programs, we hope to enable people to take charge of their health and inspire them to talk about their experiences, so that no one has to fight cancer alone.
