You might know some types of digestive cancer. Like colorectal, pancreatic, esophageal,

gastric, or any other type of digestive cancers. Fortunately, unlike the rest listed above, anal cancer is a less common type of cancer. Anal cancer is formed in tissues of an anus.

According to cancer.gov, out of 100,000 people, only 1700 people are likely to get it. According to mayoclinic.org, symptoms of anal cancer include;

● Lump near anus

● Bleeding from anus/rectum

● Itching from the anus

● Discharge from the anus

● Needing to use the restroom often

Anal cancer is caused by HPV, human papillomavirus, which is skin to skin contact. According to cancerresearchuk.org, 90% of anal cancer cases revolve around HPV. According to nhs.uk, you could also get anal cancer from smoking, age over 75, anal sex, had other types of cancer that includes vaginal or vulvar cancer, or have a weakened immune system. But there are ways to prevent or decrease the chances of getting anal cancer. According to mayoclinic.org, by establishing habits like stopping tobacco or smoke usage, practicing safer sex, being more active (75 minutes or more), and just getting a HPV vaccine, your chances of getting anal cancer decreases.
